Williamsburg Memories
2024 WRBG Service Project Basket
The Williamsburg Memories basket
has been selected as the
2024 WRBG Service Project Basket.
This basket will be the November meeting weaving project. The Guild will
purchase the materials, the basket will be woven on November 16 at the monthly meeting. If not completed at the
meeting the basket can be returned after completion for collection at the
January or March meeting dates.
After the finished baskets are collected, they will be filled with items for donation to a Woman’s Shelter in Wausau, Wisconsin. The baskets will be prepared for a Mother’s Day presentation. WRBG is seeking funding from a regional private non-profit to fill the baskets with items for donation to the Woman’s Shelter. This type of service project in the past has been well received and we are happy to continue the effort of extending a helping hand an introduction to basketry.
The materials cut list, and pattern will be provided for the members who sign up for this project. 16 handles are available
for weaving, so please sign up with
Mark Hendrickson, via phone or
email: markjoann@charter.net
